Multiple Gmail accounts in ChatGPT: start with the built-in connection
Want to review unread messages from work and personal Gmail in ChatGPT? Try the built-in connection first. Multiple-account support has already been announced.

If you also want the same inboxes in Claude, AccountHub is another option. It keeps service connections in a common place for your own assistants to use. Try one search to see which approach fits your workflow.
Check the current guidance
OpenAI's release notes announced multiple Google accounts in August 2026, followed by broader plugin support on September 17.
The current account-management guide says availability depends on the app and account. A broad rollout announcement is not proof that every app and required action is available in your account.
Test the official connection first
Open the relevant Google app in plugin settings and inspect its connected accounts. If another account can be added, authenticate with the Google account you intend to use.
Try a small read-only request:
Find up to three unread messages from yesterday in each connected work and personal Gmail account. Group the subjects and dates by account. Do not send anything.
If only one account appears, do not immediately conclude the other has no unread mail. Check whether both were actually queried. Open the original emails to check the results in your own account.
When another connection helps
Composio documents multiple connected accounts. Treat it as a developer integration option, not a setup-free feature automatically available to every ChatGPT user. Check its free and paid pricing conditions, reviewed October 11, 2026.
Try AccountHub when you want the same inboxes in another AI
For example, you might find a message needing attention in ChatGPT, then work on a reply draft in Claude. AccountHub is an option for giving both assistants access to the same inboxes. AccountHub's public page describes using multiple connected accounts from these assistants.
Follow the connection guide. Try the same search in each assistant. Check which account was queried and whether you can return to the original email. Ask Claude to retrieve one message you found in ChatGPT and check that it is the same original email. Your conversation history and drafts do not automatically move between assistants; pass any handoff note separately.
Check AccountHub pricing and availability separately from ChatGPT or Claude access conditions.
Make the sender explicit before replying
Finding an email and replying to it are different actions. Check the sender account, recipient and text before sending. Connecting more accounts does not make that choice for you.
Try the official option first. Keep it if it meets your needs. If you want the same group of accounts in more than one assistant, test AccountHub with one search. That gives you a concrete reason to add a connection.
Good to know
- Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Contacts support several accounts (OpenAI, 2026-08-28), extended to more apps and all plans on 2026-09-17.
- OpenAI's Slack help page now supports multiple workspaces. Availability depends on your plan, region and workspace settings.
- If you also use Claude, a tool both AIs share saves connecting everything twice.
